I have been trying to take advantage of a quad-CPU Xeon server that I have recently acquired and decided to run VMWare.
I have just installed it using the instructions I found here: http://taosecurity.blogspot.com/2006/03/vmware-server-beta-on-debian-status.html
There are a couple of changes that I had to make...
apt-get install gcc-4.0
ln -sf /usr/bin/gcc-4.0 /usr/bin/gcc
apt-get install linux-headers-2.6.16-2-686-smp
Other than that, it seems to be working a treat!!!
